The Recipes scoreboard gives users quick access to recipe-related details, including recipe category, costing method, ingredient information, yield, and recipe cost.

Recipes Scoreboard
The recipes scoreboard displays the total number of recipes in the system.
Create New Recipe
The Create New Recipe function allows users to create a new recipe. Users will be directed to SAMMS - RECIPE DETAILS to begin the creation process.
Search Here
The Recipe window includes smart contextual searching capabilities in the Search Here field that include:
- Recipe Name
- Description
- Product Code
Details
The Recipes details information bar includes:
- Recipe: Number, Commodity, Name, Status
- Category: Displays the recipe category linked to the item.

Ingredients: Displays the sub-recipes, total ingredients (bold), and a Yes/No badge.
- Sub-Recipes: Shows if the recipe includes sub-recipes, with the number indicating how many.
- Total Ingredients: Displays the total number of ingredients in the recipe.

Yes/No Badge: Indicates whether the recipe is a sub-recipe.
- Yes: The recipe is a sub-recipe, meaning it's used in other recipes.
- No: The recipe is not used in any other recipes.
- Yield: quantity and unit the recipe produces.
- Cost: displays unit cost & total cost (bold)
- Labor: shows the labor cost (value and dollar/percentage) and the final cost (bold), which includes the total cost and the labor cost combined.
- COGS: Displays the sales price and the COGS percentage (bold)
- Actions: Create Task and Add to Favorite
Hidden by Default
- Costing Method: Costing or Average
- Costing Source: Last Purchase or Inventory
- Inventory Source: The inventory source chosen when the inventory costing source is selected.
- POS#: shows the pos/plu# linked to the item.
To view more details about the recipe, click on the item column to see the item highlights.
Item Highlights
Click on an item to view the recipe item highlights which include:
- Item header with image, status, recipe number, recipe name, add to favorites, recipe yield and location settings
- Location Settings: Shows the property association or department authority security linked to the recipe.
- Total Cost
- Sale Price
- COS% - based on Recipe Final Cost (includes labor cost)
- Ingredients with Quantity and Total Cost
- Widget Flip ability to view the recipe instructions
Action: Create Task
The Create Task action allows users to add a task from the Recipe scoreboard by selecting a task type from the dropdown: Recipe Review, Correct Commodity, Update Category, Set Location, Change Ingredient, Review Recipe Cost, Add POS #.
The task creation form includes: task type, summary, optional additional request information, priority, assign to, and attachments.
The required fields must be completed before selecting Create.
To Edit a created task, go to the Tasks SB, click on the task row to make any changes.
Action: Add to Favorites
The Add to Favorites action enables users to quickly access items they wish to monitor closely.
After selecting the Add to Favorites action, the items can be easily located using the Quick Search widget.
Creating a New Recipe
Creating a New Recipe in SAMMS
- Click Create New Recipe to create a new recipe.
- Users will be taken to SAMMS - RECIPE DETAILS to start creating the recipe.

Accessing the Recipe

Clicking on an item navigates the user to SAMMS to view the Recipe Details.
