  • Active Status

    Active status indicates that the item is available for purchase from a supplier, can be added to inventory, and is eligible for transfer.

  • Base Unit

    Classified as the largest Unit of Measure for an Item. This is typically the main Purchase Unit for the Item.

  • Blanket Purchase Order

    A Blanket Purchase Order (BPO) is an agreement between a buyer and a supplier to supply goods or services at agreed-upon prices over a specified period. It aims to streamline and accelerate the procurement process for frequently purchased items, eliminating the necessity for repetitive negotiations and paperwork with each order.

  • Carry Unit Cost

    The average cost to acquire the item for inventory, expressed per unit of measure, used as the price for inventory transactions involving that item.

  • Close Short

    Close short shipment refers to the process of finalizing and closing a purchase order when the received quantity is less than the original order quantity.

  • Commodity

    Each item is assigned a classification. Depending on the customer, the Commodity/Item level may include a mix of alphanumeric or purely numeric characters. The newly created item will inherit default settings configured at the Commodity level, such as Expense Account, Inventory Account, Terms, Prime Buyer, and/or Prime Supplier.

  • Deleted Status

  • Miscellaneous

    An item marked as 'allowed as miscellaneous' enables users to modify the item description on procurement documents.

  • Order Unit

    The unit in which the item is typically purchased.

  • Outlet Carry Unit

    The unit in which the item is typically received.

  • Pricing Unit

    The unit by which suppliers typically price the item.

  • Primary Buyer

    A Primary Buyer can be assigned to a specific item in order to group Items and facilitate the selection of Items to Purchase Orders.

  • Reference Number

    Field where you can input the Item Number from the previous system. If left empty, this field will automatically use the Item Number as its default value.

  • Replenish Unit

    This is the largest unit and how you order from the vendor/supplier.

    SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) is a unique auto-generated identifier assigned to each distinct product and is used to track inventory and manage stock levels efficiently.

  • Specifications

    Refers to a detailed description or set of criteria that outlines the specific characteristics, features, dimensions, materials, or other attributes that define a particular product or item.
