G/L Journal Entry
A copy of the month end journal entry can be produced from the Reports menu tab by selecting Finance and then select Month End in the left hand column. The Journal Entry is a single report broken into 4 different sections.

Adjustments – This part of the entry is a summary of the adjustments made to the inventory
accounts throughout the accounting period; both from physical inventories and manual
inventory adjustments. - Issues / Transfers – This part of the entry is a summary of all the ins and outs effecting the
inventory accounts; including stock requisitions, return requisitions and inventory transfers
(from one storeroom/warehouse to another) -
Issues / Transfers by Dept – This part of the entry is a summary of all the department
transfers that were posted during the period. -
Net Receipts – This part of the entry is a summary of all accruals for the given period. (Open
receivers and Open direct receipts).
To get a better understanding of the journal entry, the following reports will breakdown each section of the JE to different levels of information.

Adjustments
Adjustments by Account / Document – Summary listing by document of all manual inventory adjustments performed during the accounting period.
Physical Inventory Variance reports – Summary by occurrence of the physical inventories performed throughout the account the accounting period.
Issues / Transfers
Issues / Transfers by Account - Summary listing of all Issues and Transfers that make up the 2 sections of the JE for Issues & Transfers, showing totals for debits and credits by account. Parameters allow for selection of year, period, property and account.
Issues / Transfers by Type/Account - Breakout listing of all issues and transfers that make up the 2 sections of the JE for Issues & Transfers, grouped by document type, showing totals for debits and credits by account). Parameters allow for selection of year, period, property and account.
Issues / Transfers by Account/Document - Detailed Breakout listing of all issues and transfers that make up the 2 sections of the JE for Issues & Transfers, grouped by document type, 2 Including all document numbers. Parameters allow for selection of year, period, property, transaction type and account.
Issues / Transfers by Account/Document/Item - Detailed Breakout listing of all issues and transfers that make up the 2 sections of the JE for Issues & Transfers, grouped by document type, documents and items. Parameters allow for selection of year, period, property, entity, department, document type, account number, item#/commodity, item description.
Net Receipts (Accruals)
Open Receipts by Account/Document - Detailed listing of all open receivers and open direct receipt
documents Grouped and Summarized by Account Number. Parameters allow for selection by year,
period, property, debit account #; and document #.
Open Receipts by Account/Supplier/Document - Detailed listing of all open receivers and open receipt documents with supplier and account numbers. Parameters allow for selection by year, period, property, debit account #; and supplier name.
Open Receipts by Account/Document/Item - Detailed listing of all open receivers and open direct receipt documents Grouped and Summarized by Account Number, including items on documents. Parameters allow for selection by year, period, property, debit account #; item#/commodity, and item description.
Reconciliation
Reconciliation of RedRock to the General Ledger is done by using the following reports.
Inventory – Monthly balancing of inventory totals within RedRock and the G/L is done by using:
- Month End Inventory Balancing – By Item (report). Listing of by storeroom, all items residing in the storeroom with totals by quantity and amount for each inventory bucket (beginning, receipts, issues, returns, transfers, adjustments, and ending inventory). Totals are by item and storeroom.
- Month End Inventory Balancing – Ending Inventory Balances by Account (report). Listing of by storeroom, all items residing in the storeroom with totals by quantity and amount for each inventory bucket (beginning, receipts, issues, returns, transfers, adjustments, and ending inventory). Totals are by item and storeroom and account number.
Accruals – Monthly balancing of the Red Rock accruals is done using the three reports defined in the Net Receipts (Accruals) section listed above.
