The system supports multiple price origins that help users clearly understand where each item’s price is derived from. Each origin reflects a distinct sourcing path or pricing logic within the platform. Price origin badges are color coded based on the type of price retrieval and are used consistently across multiple dashboards to ensure clear and standardized visibility.

Price Origins

Yellow

The Previous Price origin is uniquely represented by a yellow badge.

  • Previous Price - Price carried forward from a prior order or historical transaction.

Blue

Prime Supplier, BPO Pricing and Bid Selection are shown using blue badges.

  • Prime Supplier - Price obtained directly from the designated primary supplier.
  • BPO Price - Price determined based on a predefined supplier contract or agreement.
  • Bid Selection - Price chosen from a specific bid or quotation, not necessarily the lowest.

Green

Low Bid, Inventory Pricing, RFQ Pricing and External System are indicated with green badges.

  • Low Bid - Price selected from the lowest bid received during the sourcing process.
  • Inventory Pricing - Price derived from internal inventory valuation or cost records.
  • RFQ Pricing - Price sourced from a Request for Quotation (RFQ) event.
  • External System - Price sourced via an exception pricing rule or override condition

Red

Manual Entry, Zero Cost, and Not Found are displayed using red badges to highlight exceptions or missing pricing data.

  • Manual Entry - Price manually entered by a user during the sourcing process.
  • Zero Cost - Represents items sourced at no cost or zero dollar pricing (e.g., samples, replacements).
  • Not Found - Indicates that no valid price source was found for the item.
