The Item Quick Search widget is designed to provide system administrators with comprehensive access to item highlights and a dynamic selection view. Designed to support efficient item setup and maintenance, it includes a Quick Search feature for locating items and adding them to favorites. With customizable item highlights across inventory, recipes, retail, and warehouse, each highlight features scoreboards that direct admins to the most relevant sections of the item editor, streamlining workflows and enhancing setup efficiency.

Quick Search Widget

Widget Flip

Use the Widget Flip icon to turn the ITM Quick Search widget over and choose which item highlight view you'd like to display when selecting an item.

Available view include: Inventory, Recipe, Retail and Warehouse (default).

Your selected view is automatically saved to your dashboard settings and will remain persistent across sessions for a more personalized experience.

 
 

Minimize Icon

Click the minimize icon on the Quick Search widget to enlarge the "Assigned to Me" widget.

When the Assigned to Me widget is expanded, the Quick Search field will appear at the top of the dashboard, allowing you to search for items and view item highlights.

To minimize the "Assigned to Me" widget and restore the Quick Search widget, click the compress icon on the "Assigned to Me" widget.

 
 

Search Here

The quick search window includes smart contextual searching capabilities in the Search Here field that include:

  • UPCs
  • SKUs
  • Product Number
  • Product Name
  • Description
 
 

Details

The quick search detail window displays additional information including:

  • Item #
  • Description
  • Actions: Create Task and Add to Favorite
 
 

Actions: Create Item

The Create Task action allows users to add a task from the Quick Search widget by selecting a task type from the dropdown.

The task creation form includes seven fields: task type, summary, optional additional request information, priority, assign to, attachments, and any additional data information.

The required fields must be completed before selecting Create.

 
 

Actions: Add to Favorite

The "Add to Favorites" action lets users search for an item and click the star icon to save it as a favorite. After clicking the star, users can exit the search, and their favorite items will be displayed in the main quick search window.

 
 

Item Highlights

Click on the item to flip and view the Item Highlights.

The Item Highlights offers a quick and convenient way to access key item details at a glance. 

By default, the view displays Warehouse highlights. For other views, refer to the “Widget Flip” tab for instructions on selecting additional item highlight options.

 
 

ITM Item Highlights

Item Header 

The Item Header shows information from the item editor module. Users can click any part of the item header to view detailed item information.

Clicking the item header will take you directly to the Profile tab, though you can also explore other tabs for additional details about the item. 

The header remains consistent across the Warehouse, Inventory, and Retail highlight views, showing:

  • Item image
  • Status
  • Item number
  • Name
  • Unit breakdown
  • Add to favorites option

The Recipe item header differs slightly, with additional recipe-specific details shown within its respective tab.

 
 

Add to Favorites 

You can add an item to your quick search favorites by clicking the Add to Favorites star while reviewing its highlights during your search.

If the star is highlighted, the item is currently in your favorites.

 
 

Warehouse

The Warehouse Item Highlights will appear as the default view in the ITM Quick Search widget.

The Warehouse Highlight Scoreboard includes the following key data points:

  • Locations
  • Suppliers
  • UPC
  • On Hand
  • On Order
  • Back Order
  • Due
  • Ready to Pick
  • AVG Usage

Inventory

The Inventory Highlight Scoreboard includes the following key data points:

  • Beginning
  • On Order
  • Received
  • On Hand
  • Issued + Allocated
  • Transfer + Pending
  • Back Ordered
  • Carry Price
  • Adjusted
  • Returned
  • Available
  • Avg. Usage

Recipe

The Recipe Item Highlight varies slightly compared to Warehouse, Inventory and Retail. 

Item Header includes:

  • Image
  • Status
  • Recipe Number
  • Recipe Name
  • Add to Favorites
  • Recipe Yield
  • Location Settings: display the associated property or department authority security tied to the recipe.

Additional Recipe Details:

  • Total Cost: combined cost of ingredients and labor required to produce the recipe.
  • Sale Price: menu item cost (manually entered data).
  • COS%: calculated from Recipe's Final Cost (includes labor cost)
  • Ingredients: with Quantity and Total Cost breakdown
  • Widget Flip: Allows users to view full recipe instructions
 
 

Retail 

The Retail Highlight Scoreboard includes the following key data points:

  • SKUs
  • UPCs
  • Inventory Count
  • Quantity on Hand
  • Department w/Sales
  • Revenue
  • Sold Exception
  • Attributes
  • Price Changes
