ITM Quick Search: Understanding the Widget

ITM Dashboard Quick Search Widget

The Item Quick Search widget is designed to help system admins quickly find items within the system and easily add them to their favorites. Tailored to the admin user's responsibilities in setting up and maintaining items, the widget’s scoreboard guides them to the relevant sections of the item editor, streamlining the setup process for improved efficiency.

Minimize Icon

Click the minimize icon on the Quick Search widget to enlarge the "Assigned to Me" widget.

When the Assigned to Me widget is expanded, the Quick Search field will appear at the top of the dashboard, allowing you to search for items and view item highlights.

To minimize the "Assigned to Me" widget and restore the Quick Search widget, click the compress icon on the "Assigned to Me" widget.

 
 

Search Here

The quick search window includes smart contextual searching capabilities in the Search Here field that include:

  • UPCs
  • SKUs
  • Product Number
  • Product Name
  • Description
 
 

Details

The quick search detail window displays additional information including:

  • Item #
  • Description
  • Actions: Create Task and Add to Favorite
 
 

Actions: Create Item

The Create Task action allows users to add a task from the Quick Search widget by selecting a task type from the dropdown.

The task creation form includes seven fields: task type, summary, optional additional request information, priority, assign to, attachments, and any additional data information.

The required fields must be completed before selecting Create.

 
 

Actions: Add to Favorite

The "Add to Favorites" action lets users search for an item and click the star icon to save it as a favorite. After clicking the star, users can exit the search, and their favorite items will be displayed in the main quick search window.

 
 

Item Highlights

Click on the item to flip and view the Item Highlights.

The Item Highlights feature offers a quick and convenient way to access key information for inquiries, with the option to easily navigate to the item management dashboard for detailed viewing and editing. It allows you to instantly view essential data and dive deeper into specific insights when needed.

The Quick Search in ITM lets you choose the types of insights you want to view, such as retail, inventory, or recipe insights, ensuring you access the most relevant and actionable information for your needs.

 
 

ITM Item Highlights

Item Header 

The item header displays information from the item management section. Users can click on any part of the item header to view the item details. Clicking the item header will take you directly to the Profile tab, though other tabs are also accessible if you wish to explore additional information related to the item.

 
 

Add to Favorites 

You can add an item to your quick search favorites by clicking the Add to Favorites star while reviewing its highlights during your search.

If the star is highlighted, the item is currently in your favorites.

 
 

SKUs

The SKU scoreboard shows the number of SKUs associated with the item. Click on the scoreboard to navigate to the Item Management module, Point of Sale tab, where you can manage the SKUs.

 
 

UPCs

The UPC scoreboard shows the number of UPCs associated with the item. Click on the scoreboard to navigate to the Item Management module, Point of Sale tab, where you can manage the UPCs.

 
 

Inventory Count

The Inventory Counts scoreboard displays the number of counts associated with the item. Click on the scoreboard to navigate to the Item Management module, Inventory tab, where you can view detailed inventory count information for the item.

 
 

Quantity on Hand

The Quantity On Hand scoreboard shows the total quantity of the item for all departments. Click on the scoreboard to go to the Item Management module, under the Inventory tab. In the Current Balances panel, the On Hand column will display the quantity for each department.

 
 

Department w/Sales

The Department with Sales scoreboard displays the number of departments with sales linked to the item. Click on the scoreboard to navigate to the Item Management module, under the Point of Sale tab, where you can view the item's sales data in the Recent Sales scoreboard.

 
 

Revenue

The Revenue scoreboard shows the total sales amount for the past 30 days. Click on the scoreboard to navigate to the Item Management module, under the Point of Sale tab, where you can view the item's sales details in the Recent Sales scoreboard.

 
 

Sold Exception

The Sold Exception scoreboard shows the number of recent errors related to the item. Click on the scoreboard to navigate to the Item Management module, under the Point of Sale tab, where you can view the item's Recent Error scoreboard details.

 
 

Attributes

The Attributes scoreboard displays the number of POS system attributes associated with the item. Click on the scoreboard to navigate to the Item Management module, under the Point of Sale tab, and scroll to the bottom to find the point of sale system information and attribute details.

 
 

Price Changes

The Price Change scoreboard shows the number of price changes associated with the item. Click on the scoreboard to navigate to the Item Management module, under the Point of Sale tab, and select the Price Changes scoreboard to view detailed information.
